Kaffe Fasset Seed Packets Quilt Kit
 
I will be placing an order for the Kaffe Fasset Seed Packets quilt kit soon. The full cost for the kit is $269 plus tax. I am taking pre-orders. The initial cost is $135 with the balance due when the kits arrive at the store (late August). 
 
Scissor Sharpening at Bluegrass Stitches & Crafts
 
Snippy Jim will be at Bluegrass Stitches & Crafts on Saturday, May 10, 10 am - noon. You can have your scissors sharpened onsite - OR - items can be dropped off and paid for May 6-9 and picked up later .
 
Only $5 per item!
 
In addition to scissors, he sharpens snips, pinking shears, knives, garden tools, axes, pruners, loppers, and manual hedge trimmers.
 
He does not grind your implements, he sharpens them.

The All Kentucky and Tennessee Shop Hop is July 1 - August 31. The shop hop covers 54 stores across Kentucky and Tennesse. You can watch a video about the shop hop here. I am offering an opportunity to pre-buy the magazine. The magazine has articles, patterns, and the most important thing - the PASSPORT that allows you to participate!! I will be ordering a few extra, but once they're gone, I won't be able to order more.
 
 
Magazines are due to be in-store mid-late May. You may have them shipped or pick up in-store.

Earlier this month we were a drop-off location for cleaning supplies for local flood victims. As you can see in the picture, our customers showed up for the challenge! Thank you so much for helping those who have suffered so much through this disaster!

Miscellaneous
  • With Joann closing, I am looking at items that I might be able to start carrying in the store that a lot of people may not be able to easily locate. Let me know what items you would be interested in seeing. No guarantee that I can get them but I'd love to hear your ideas.
  • Threads: I currently carry the Fil-tec brand of threads (Glide, Premo-Soft, and Cairo Quilt). I am starting to carry Aurfil 50 weight thread and Guterman cotton thread. I don't have a huge selection right now but there will be more to come!
  • I've had a lot of people ask me to carry buttons. This is one of those items that I wouldn't even know where to begin as far as what kind to stock. My suggestion is that visiting Goodwill or another thrift type store might be a good place - buy a shirt and use the buttons from it!
  • Classes - I've been remiss about getting classes added to the schedule (for a variety of reasons). I'm hoping to get more scheduled soon! Check out our Classes page on our website for updates.
